Dan & Katherine
For Dan a career as a multi skilled carpenter with roots deep in agriculture has led to a wide range of skills being used every day to create or fix just about anything so the perfect tool for building The Tipsy Mare Somerset really. put that together with a passion for great drinks and a past as a barman this venture was a calling. Katherine while dividing her time between working in hospitality and the education sectors is no stranger to service with a smile and her love of fine wine ensures you always have just what you fancy.
What we made
A labour of love and learning.
Family time and build time went hand in hand and we all loved every second building the Mare together.
Our build aim was to be as low carbon as possible and source everything as locally as we could.
Nothing wasted
All our timber was reclaimed
Pallet wood- scaffold boards and many fixtures even the odd horseshoe, we used everything we had and in a stylish way as well we think.
Couldn't have done it alone.
Friendship is the wine of life.
Finally, we had time to reward the team of helpers, this could not have happened without the strong support network that every success story is based on.
The Tipsy Mare Somerset was born, and we couldn't be happier about it.
